Advertising/Promoting

How do you Advertise or Promote your site?

I try to use several websites, members, mass emails, signatures, and even social media to promote and advertise my sites. It works out well and isn't very hard to do. It really pays off in the end.

What about you? What do you do?

Depending on the type of website i create, i would get afflitiates based on that website. Also if it was a company website i made i would try to get sponsorships's.

I have an affiliation banner where other people can affiliate their site on mine and I have an image that I can use to affiliate on other people's forum. That or the forum will have an advertising section on their forum where you can advertise your forum and tell people about your forum and give updates on your forum. So basically I'll either affiliate or advertise on the forum.

I also use Twitter to advertise and talk about the forum.

Since I'm really not too good at banners and such, I advertise on promo forums and by word of mouth.
I don't like using social networks or ads. Promotion forums are just fine for me.

I promote using my twitter account, using Facebook, email, signatures, and I find good sites with lots of notoriety to promote my site.

Hey Jadster, when you say email, you mean that you send mass-emails ( spam ) or in particular persons?
